Turning the BIG 40! What fun

Yep, I have officially become what I consider to be an adult - I have turned 40. Will it change who I am and what I do? I doubt it but it definitely changes how people view you. Suddenly people view me as "old" - when did this happen? I still wear jeans and takkies each day. I am still silly and fun. I do admit do having one or two (or maybe more) wrinkles than before (years ago "before") but I'm still me and I certainly don't feel 40.
Then again what should 40 feel like? As I said, to me 40 is an adult age. I have never been one to worry about my age - in fact I LOVE my birthday and the fact that I am turning one year older. However this is the first time that I have acknowledge that 40 is in face a milestone year and perhaps one to which I could be accountable. If I look at other women who are 40 they seem more together, dress appropriately and have hair that stays in place... Then there is me. But you know what its ok. I can be Me and be 40. And if people think otherwise I will lie about my age... LOL!

Anyway we had a blast at my 60s sensational party. The band was awesome and the food delicious, and of course the crowd brilliant. Thank you to everyone who made the party, because really you guys MADE the party.

My dear darling husband arranged a stretch limo to take us to and from the party and that was a highlight too. How much fun can one girl have on her birthday?
