Turning the BIG 40! What fun
But wait - there's more!
Oh yes I haven’t gone yet – we still have loads to sell in the shop, as well as this latest shipment from our suppliers of the new Crate Paper ranges. The paper is selling for just R10 and R12 for the die cut paper. Ain’t it just too cute?!

Check out more info about the Crate Paper ranges on http://www.cratepaper.com/.
EK Success has brought out a great new punch which can stamp and image and punch it out in one motion!! It can also be used separately as either a punch or a stamp – ie you don’t have to use them together. The punch comes with 4 co-ordinating stamp designs…I have brought in a heart, circle, square and flower design. The machines are just
R220 each.
Don’t be put off by the Making Memories Wedding Paper thinking it can only be used for a wedding… It is stylish and elegant and as it is black, white and silver, it can be used for matric dances, or the like. Of course Making Memories can’t be out done and has brought out beautiful die cut papers to co ordinate with it, and I have brought in shimmer brads in the co-ordinating colours to help you with your embellishments. In fact, Enmarc has also brought out a range or black and white chipboard letters too…
Great news is the Making Memories paper is just R7 and the die cuts R10… BARGAIN!!!

Enmarc chipboard letters are R30 and the brads are R30 – R48.
This week will also see the new Imaginisce range called Wild Thing coming in too…
If there is anything you need before I close my doors, please give me a shout and I will try and source it for you.
Don’t forget paper currently on the shelves is 50% less its marked price, and ColorMates are R4 and Bazzill R4.50.

Teaching a class
Have you seen me?
What a hectic and horrible last two weeks it has been and I do apologise for not blogging sooner. But with the passing of my Grandfather, and then all three children down with bronchitus/viral flu (and I mean DOWN - they just lay on the couches and didn't move... VERY worrying in my house), and then to top it all my father going into hospital... Quite frankly I am not too sure if I am coming or going or have been already.
So apologies if you are waiting for this month's class schedule - I will get it out today. For a teaser though here's a look at Fresh Faces, one of this month's classes.

What a great weekend!! 20 of us headed off to Hermanus for the weekend of scrapping scrapping and more scrapping. Four classes and lots of free time to scrap some more!!! What a great weekend.
Of course the weather played along too and it rained the entire time ensuring we spent the majority of time huddled over our tables and scrap stash. Ok, so it was cold at night but the scrapping was fun.
I will post pictures of the classes once I find them in the boxes... I'm still unpacking. Quite a nightmare.
Come on by the shop though and check out our classes and how they came out.

For those of you who are waiting to see next month's classes - the wait is almost over.
I am going to finish the last touches to the classes today and photograph then so I can post them and send the email. So hang in there, please.
As for the ladies going away on the get away weekend, your email is coming too!!! Just trying to finish off the pages and projects. Phew - yes, Wendy and I are scrapping great guns to get things finished, so please be patient with us.
Hoping to see you soon in the shop. We have a gorgeous range of Bo Bunny and Making Memories (albums too).
Stop by and have some coffee or tea with us and scrap some pages.
See you soon

Public holidays and more
What a great couple of days we have had. Starting last Tuesday (wow - almost a week ago) we had our midnight scrap. The first for this year. It was great and the ladies did a great job of the two projects: a double page and a mini booklet.
Not too sure when the next midnight scrap will be but it won't be too far away - keep posted!!
Since then we have had our 35% sale, and a whole weekend of scrapping. What great weather we had for it. I was fortunate enough to attend the Scrapbook convention at Speir with Tim Holtz. WHAT A GREAT TIME! Not my usual type of scrapping at all but I had a fun fun time with the paints, and inks and grunge. It was awesome. If you get a chance check out his blog http://timholtz.typepad.com/my_weblog/.
So what am I working on now? Well there is the Mother's Day project scheduled for Friday 1 May. We still have places available. We are doing a MOM Bookworm, and the cost of R160 includes everything you will need, and (yes, there is more!!) R80 of the class fee will go to Coins for Catherine - the chairty my daughter is collecting for so her little friend at school can have a cochlear ear implant.
Wendy and I are also working flat out on our weekend away projects. They are coming together very nicely in deed and we are both very excited about the whole weekend. For those of you who didn't book - you'll have to wait and see the pictures!!
Chat to you all this week sometime - its an awesome week being just three days long - so enjoy and relax if you can.
Happy scrapping
Abbie
It's confirmed - Hannah is blonde
She was trying out her jumping skills - jumping off the furniture onto the floor. Jumping off the stool ON the furniture onto the floor... You get the picture. When I saw what she was doing and stopped her she wandered off in a Hannah Huff (big lip pout and stomps) to her room.
Next i heard a THUMP. Yes, our little Hannah had tried what we thought only Emma Jo, our blonde older daughter would do, she jumped off the top bunk!
Ok, so she had had the foresite to put pillows at the bottom. BUT she missed them. ALL.
So now she has a sore heel (very fortunate) and a bruised ego. She has demanded stitches, a bandage and socks... BUT not to go to the hospital. Right now she is lucky she doesn't have a soe bum to go with the injuries!!
All fun and games at our house!
Hello everyone
Great fantastic and wonderful news – no, Zuma has not fallen out of the election race… - but equally wonderful scrapping news, we are having a 35% sale off everything in the shop on Wednesday only.
That’s 35% off everything.
Imagine Bazzill at just R3.90 and R15 pattern paper for only R9.56!!
Even the cutterpedes and toolkits are marked down. Bargain!!
Hope you are all getting ready to scrap? We are holding our next charity scrap on Friday May 1 at the shop from 9.30am til 12.30pm. We are going to be completing a MOM bookworm (a chipboard mini album in the shape of the word MOM). It’s a great present for the up and coming Mother’s Day.
The bookworm class is R160 and R80 goes to Coins for Catherine. The class includes all material, including the bookworm. Although the classroom has limited space, I have packed the class into a take away pack as well. So please show your support and book for this class now.
I have two new take away packs in store – Be Bold and Waterslide Fun. Waterslide fun includes a full set of alphas so you can title your page anything you want. Both packs include everything you need – instructions, colour picture and all the materials.
Looking forward to seeing you in store soon

Midnight Scrap
HORAAAY!! TGIF!!! Yep, I am happy it is Friday and the weekend is finally here. My Wuvly has been away most of the week, and he is home tonight. Can't wait to see him.
The shop has been buzzing this week with lots of scrapping activity. I have been busy finalising the projects for the midnight scrap, the chairty scrap on 1 May and the get away project... Oh and in between all that I have been trying to scrap the classes for next month too.
Here's a sneak of the inside...
Hoping to see you soon in store.
Take care and remember we are open on Wednesday - Election Day - from 9am to 1pm.

Have you told your kids you love them today?
I admit - my children drive me nuts. But so does the wind in Table View and the very bad drivers on the Cape Town roads... But it doesn't mean I'm going to move (or get rid of my kids). In fact they are actually a very BIG blessing in my life and I know I would be totally lost without them. I could never imagine my life without them... Ok, so I could imagine a couple of sun soaked days on a beautiful beach with warm sea lapping at my toes and a nice fresh crab salad or lobster on hand...
But that all said and done, I just wanted to let you know that despite the grey hairs, the endless sleepless nights and the constant fighting (why do girls fight and bicker so much?) I love my girls and know I am blessed to have them in my life.
Eggs no more
I trust you all had a good break over the Easter weekend. I know I did. In fact I actually managed to scrap... Great achievement for me. In fact I scrapped ALL the stash I had taken away with me and eneded up feeling very sorry for myself as I had nothing else left to do!! Moral of the story: take LOADS of stash. Especially to a place that has no scrapbook shops.
Anyway that all said and done, just wanted to let you know we have some new KI Memory paper in - its really cute. Especially for dog lovers. I have also bought some new Scrapbook King rub ons.
With all these public holidays it is a great time to get some "Me" time in and take advantage of our take away packs. In store currently I have School Day, Be Bold (pictured), as well as Fresh Start. Water Slide Fun will be in tomorrow and the I love HSM (High School Musical) will be ready by the weekend. All are double page layouts and are R140. This include all material and instructions.
Be Bold - on sale for R140
The next fund raiser will be on Friday 1 May at the shop. Its a bookworm - MOM - and is R160 and includes all material and the bookworm. R80 will go to the Coins for Catherine fund. Please book so I know you are coming. I will also be offering this class as a take-away for those of you who can't make the class. Remember, it will soon be Mom's day and this mini album will make a cute gift for her.

Thanking you all so much

WOW! Thanks so much to everyone. We have sold out of the mini albums: all 32!!
I will be doing a special class later in the month - actually two. One is a MOM bookworm, and the second is a double page on friendship. I am hoping to complete the double page this weekend so I can show you all early next week, and the bookworm album should be here for me to complete next week.
Both will be take away classes as well as actual classes - so you can either book for a class in store, or you can take the class away along with the materials needed, and class notes. Both classes will be just R160 (all inclusive) and R80 of each class will go to Coins for Catherine.
Bookings will open next week, so either please call or email me on 021 556 0579 or scrapping@heavenlyscrapbooks.co.za.
We have a new consignment of Enmarc chipboards in stock - some older ones and some new ones. We also have the new KaiserCraft paper - its really beautiful - as well as the new K&Co range.
New KaiserCraft Fun Fair range - www.kaisercraft.com.auRemember we are closed tomorrow, but will be open again on Saturday.
Have a great long weekend and happy scrapping!

PS: The albums have done SOOOOOO well. I have pretty much sold out. I think there are 4 more to go. Thank you all so very much.
I will be holding a fund raiser class later this month and will let you know the date once I have word from the suppliers.
And then there were none...

WOW! It's been a great crazy day. A great big thank you to everyone who has called, come in and those who have purchased the mini albums as part of our fund raiser.
Today alone we sold 20 - that's R200 in the money box. Great show Scrappers. We now only have green albums left, but they are VERY cute. I scrapped my green one with oranges and browns - looked pretty funky.

I am putting together a pack which will also be sold in aid of Catherine, and it will be ready after the Easter break. Although I will endeavour to arrange an evening to teach the class, it will also be available as a take away. More to follow so keep posted.
Thanks again to everyone. New KaiserKraft paper arriving tomorrow - will be on the shelves tomorrow afternoon. The new Scrapbooking Memories magazine is in too - its a double issue (buy one get one free - always a bargin!)
I'm out and about tomorrow - on the road to the various suppliers. So if you need anything, please give Judy a call in the shop or you can try and get me on my cell.
Happy Scrapping and once again, thanks to everyone.
One money box down...

We are blessed with many friends
One thing about living in Cape Town is that your always have visitors...
Early last month Gareth did his annual trek from PE to CT for the Argus Cycle Tour bringing with him his possie of cyclists. Thankfully despite the horrid conditions this year, they again all finished and without injury.
At the end of the month, our dear friends from the UK, Marci, Grant and daughter Hannah spent the weekend with us, after Grant completed the Cape Epic.
What is it with our friends and cycling??
We spend a wonderful weekend with them just checking out the waves, the sights and trying to convince them not to live in KwaZulu Natal but rather in Cape Town!!!
Me thinks family and family blood may be thicker than friends'...
But it was lovely to see them.
And yes although we do love having guests, it is nice to know that the house will once again be guest-free and that you are able to wander around in your raggedy pjs, with bed-hair and a mug of tea.
And so far as we know there are no guests appearing until July when we will have a houseful for my birthday. But we've got time before then...
Help a good cause

Hello everyone
Just wanted to let you all know of a great fundraiser the shop (and my family) are involved with:
My middle child, Hannah, has a little friend at school called Catherine who needs to have a cochlear ear implant. (You may have seen the article in the Tygerburger newspapers 25/3/09). Anyway Hannah has been very busy collecting coins and monies in her own little campaign which she aptly named “Coins of Catherine” which she has given over to Catherine’s mother (“to pay the doctor Mom!”…)
Seeing her determination I have been compelled to get my butt into gear too and also help with the fundraising drive. Catherine’s parents need to raise R430 thousand for the operation.
So, I have 4x4 AMM leatherette albums for sale at just R30. For each album I sell, R10 will be donated to Catherine’s fund – “Coins for Catherine”.
The albums are great for mini brag books, and with Mother’s Day around the corner, what a great little gift. They are quick and easy to scrap – heck you can even use all your off cuts and left over’s! – The albums come in three colours: green, blue and pink, and are on sale now.
I have also just unpacked a consignment of pattern papers all marked at just R7 a sheet, and bazzill. There are rub ons, buttons, and chipboard embellishments too. It’s an odd consignment, so please don’t think I will be getting any more of the stock in – it is a once off. So if you don’t buy it now, it won’t be there again!!
Please note our Easter trading times:
Friday 10 April – CLOSED
Saturday 11 April – OPEN 9am – 1pm
Monday 13 April – CLOSED
Tuesday 14 April – OPEN 9am – 4pm
All other public holidays we will be open 9am – 1pm. If you are confused or want to double check, please just give me a call on 021 556 0579 or cell number 082 5710336.
See you soon

It's been a while
There is a lot of new stock on the market right now due to the recently held trade show in America (CHA) where all the suppliers launch their new ranges. Sadly for us it takes a month or two to cross the ocean and get here, but its now here. And man have the suppliers out done themselves this time. The paper is gorgeous.
There are just too many choices. I'm not too sure which way to turn or what to scrap first!!! So many choices and so little time.
Come on in and check out the ranges - the new Making Memories Flower Patch, My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow, Bella Bella and Penny Lane, as well as the Imaginisce Twitterpated and Summertime.
