Birthday party fun

Well we have made it through the morning - the concert at the little school Football Frenzy - and then into the late morning for Emma Jo's birthday party (yes its a week early but next week its school holidays!)

Thanks to Maureen, Adelle, Margaret and Karen (and all the supporting staff) for the concert. It was very koel and the kids had an awesome time. They sang their little hearts out. All dressed in soccer shirts, with flags and vuvvzelas. It was wonderful. Their rendition of the national anthem, lead by 5 year old Siwe (yes, he sang a solo and sang it perfectly) was great. As was Wakka Wakka and Wave your Flag. Brilliant.

Although the kids managed to swim at EJ's party (thanks to all who took part in the "sunshine dance"), it is now raining.... Boo hoo.

So we now have 15 or 16 (won't sit still for me to count) kids inside watching a movie. Well allegedly watching a movie. They are also eating cupcakes with blue icing and sprinkles  (thanks mom for your help!)

And Dad, well after cooking three packs of boerewors for the children, he dashed off to fetch number 1 son, Craig, from the airport as he is flying in to spend the weekend with us. Lucky for him, he arrives as the party if over. Hmmm... good planning or just flight schedules?!

So I'm hiding on the computer watching and listening to the children. Tonight I'm off out with my friends for our monthly Penny Pinchers supper. Wonder who will win tonight?

Thanks for visiting and hope to see you soon
